Product information
> Example usage - "Corporate Bloom" (3:48). A scenario demonstrating how AutoDoc HSE can value add to your existing IT infrastructure, just by being "dropped in" to your existing setup with minimal extra implementation.
> AutoDoc HSE - How does it work? (7:00) An explanation of how the system achieves context sensitive, automated delivery. This presentation refers to the "Corporate Bloom" presentation, so you may want to watch that presentation first.
> Example usage - Mailback printer (2:14). A demonstration of how AutoDoc HSE could be configured to provide a PDF converter: any user prints a document to the AutoDoc HSE mailback printer, and it will email that user a PDF copy of the document.
>
Advanced Features - using translations (4:06). A scenario demonstrating how you could harness AutoDoc HSE to
value add to its workhorse delivery features. This
example leverages some advanced techniques to seamlessly
deliver a context-sensitive, personalised employee induction
pack, just by printing a template welcome letter from
Microsoft Word. The scenario uses features such as global variables, trimming variables, translations and translation wildcards, and HTML emails. How these features
actually work is explained in the
"Using translations" guidance presentation below.
Guidance
Please note that the instruction provided in these presentations is guidance only, and may not provide the most satisfactory outcome in your particular environment. While we endeavour to provide you with
high quality, in-depth information, because of the wide variety of
configurations supported by AutoDoc HSE, we recommend that (as with any new addition to an IT infrastructure) you test your setup with
the product before using in a production environment.
> Installing AutoDoc HSE (5:22). A step-by-step guide to downloading and installing the application. Registration is optional.
This presentation is targeted toward users who are not familiar
with typical installation wizards.
> Post-installation tasks/initial configuration (13:47). A step-by-step guide to performing the initial configuration required to allow AutoDoc HSE to send emails and faxes, and communicate with all your network resources. This presentation has content which overlaps with the Quick Start Guide, but is highly recommended for users who will use MAPI email.
> Client Setup (4:56). A step-by-step guide to setting up AutoDoc HSE components for client machines, in a client/server environment. This presentation includes information on security/permissions settings, as well as 'installing' the Client Viewer for individual users.
You may find the very brief introduction to the client
viewer, below, useful in understanding the relationship
between AutoDoc HSE and the client viewer.
> Quick Start Guide (16:34). A step-by-step walk through of the process documented in the
Quick Start Guide. The Guide demonstrates four delivery methods (printing, emailing, faxing, and archiving), and in addition to completing the basic configuration required for these deliveries, the Guide uses a preconfigured document (included in the AutoDoc HSE installation) to demonstrate and explain the key features of AutoDoc HSE. Users who will be using MAPI email are referred to the post-installation tasks presentation for information on configuring a MAPI setup
prior to viewing this presentation (as this Quick Start Guide presentation uses an SMTP email configuration).
> Client Viewer - overview (1:54). A very short introduction to what the AutoDoc HSE client viewer is, and what it does: print-to-PDF, scan-to-PDF, user-specific settings and log views.
> Client Viewer - PDF Scanner (12:19). A detailed look at the scanner function. The scanner included in the client viewer application can be used as a standalone feature to convert images to PDF, or
it can interface with digital devices and perform the whole gamut of AutoDoc HSE delivery types with the resultant scanned output. The more advanced features require a working knowledge of AutoDoc HSE's translations function (you may like to familiarise yourself with translations before tackling the latter part of this presentation - see the reference manual or the presentation on
using translations
below). Note also that the PDF Scanner will only work if AutoDoc HSE is configured with the 'Run As Another User Service' option enabled.
> MYOB Exonet integration overview (3:27). A brief overview of the broad steps that need to be completed to get the most out of AutoDoc HSE with MYOB's Exonet accounting software. More detail on these broad steps is available in the other Exonet integration presentations below, and these Exonet presentations broadly equate to the Exonet Integration Manual.
> MYOB Exonet Initial Integration (5:59). A step-by-step guide to performing the initial integration required to optimise Exonet for use with AutoDoc HSE. This presentation is targeted toward administrators of the Exonet system, and includes making changes to the SQL Server Exonet database, as well as the 'extra fields' functionality in Exonet's configuration module.
> MYOB Exonet Invoices (14:53). A step-by-step guide to configuring Exonet and AutoDoc HSE to facilitate automated and context-sensitive delivery of invoices. This presentation includes making changes to the Exonet invoice form using Exonet's built-in Clarity Report Designer, and making some invoice-specific configurations in AutoDoc HSE.
